ALEXANDER ROACH – Flexa Studio Head Trainer

Alexander left the I.T. industry in 2006 to help people create and live a healthier lifestyle. A Canadian who studied and developed his fitness background for 7 years in Sydney now brings his knowledge and passion to Auckland.

Having helped shape one of Sydney’s best Weight Loss Programs, guided athletes to success in world competitions, and working towards the goals of time-poor mums and busy corporate leaders; Alexander has extensive knowledge of how to get what his clients want.

“For me, it’s all about life-long learning. I love studying and building within myself the tools I can use to educate others. Arming people with knowledge, skills, support and the resources to inspire them on their journey is a passion of mine.”

Outside of the Studio, you can find Alexander and his wife, Lisa hiking, camping, geocaching and doing other things nerds like to do.

She is a mum of 2 growing boys and knows how demanding your busy life can be; she’ll give you the know how to exercise effectively and create balance in your lifestyle.

Tess is passionate about healthy living and has an all round knowledge to support you with your wellness.

She teaches tools to good posture and a fit, strong and healthy body.

BRAD ROACH – Flexa Studio Yoga Instructor/ Flexa Studio Trainer

Experience and philosophy: Over the past several years I have been working between the US and the UK , originally starting as an outdoor education coach and primitive survival instructor, this roll developed to teaching Yoga, Calisthenics and Archery on summer camps. After travelling over 30 states and learning valuable yoga and meditation skills from Native Americans, My passion for Yoga began after suffering a ACL tear and a dislocated knee. After having surgery and being told by doctors that there would be an 18 month recovery period I started practicing dynamic yoga and within 3 months my knee was stronger than it was before the injury. Seeing these improvements in myself has motivated and fueled me to pursue helping other people rehabilitate injuries and achieve their own ultimate goals, Physical and or spiritual. After building and establishing Yoga classes in England over the past 2 years I decided to continue my travels which brought me here to New Zealand and in turn brought me here to Flexa Clinic.

I am originally from Brazil, I’ve been working in the health care and fitness industry since 2005. I decided to come overseas with the purpose of learning and exchanging knowledge. I believe that exercising body and mind everyday is the best way to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Over the last few years I’ve been living in NZ I have developed specific exercise programmes for the day to day gym goer and for athletes who participate in the Tennis Cup NZ and Hockey NZ. I also have a passion for water sports, specially surf, which I’ve been studying and working on Functional Training programmes based on conscious body movements.

Outside of Flexa in my spare time I love to be in the water surfing and doing yoga.
